What is Tourstart all about? Well, you know of course, but it might not be obvious for new users who visit Tourstart for the first time. Therefore we have

Motorcycle ride planner for iPhone

Sunday, September 1, 2013 @ 21:36

Not many years ago all motorcycle ride plans were made on a printed road map. Then the map was placed on the tank bag, and you had to look on the each time you were in doubt where to turn and in which direction you needed to ride. That was OK, and we still reached the motorbike roads.

Then the technology developed and we got the motorcycle gps which are watertight and can handle the harsh conditions on the motorcycle with vibrations and weather. That is still the preferred navigation system for some motorcyclists. The typical motorcycle gps are the Garmin Zumo 550 or the TomTom Rider 2, which are not only waterproof but are also delivered with a holder so it is easy to take the gps with you when the motorcycle is parked.

Motorcycle accomodation and mc roads

One of Denmarks best known motorcycle accomodations are "Bed & Breakfast Dannevirke" which are located in Germany. Many motorcyclists have during the last years where Carsten has been the owner, visiting the cozy B&B. Tourstart has also been there, and we had a great week-end togehter with many other motorcyclists.

We arrived a bit early, but our room was ready, and the keys to our room were placed just inside the front door. A small note with our name were attached to the key - and that was the end of that check-in. Perfect :-)

The rooms are all top class. Nice and clean - and you can also

Alebo Hotel in Småland - the oldest hotel in Sweden

This profile story is about Hotel Alebo which is owned by Mette and Erik Dich. Both are danes with a desire to run a hotel in Sweden, and their large interest for motorcycles have established them as a well know destination for Danish motorcyclists.

Alebo is only 2½ hours motorcycle ride from Sealand, 2 hours from Göteborg and 1 hour from Varberg, so it is easy for both motorcyclists from Sealand and Jutland to reach Alebo. Even there is not many kilometers, the nature is very different that what is in Denmark. Here are a lot of twisty motorcycle roads, scenic rides and not much traffic, so it is easy to enjoy riding the motorcycle.

Alebo is a protected wooden house filled with soul and

Cardo Scale Rider Q3 - product test

Saturday, August 3, 2013 @ 09:11

Conversation during the motorcycle ride has before the intercom era been "sign language" such as a more or less friendly stroke on the other person on the motorcycle. Well, if the speed became too high, then the stroke might not have been that friendly.. Just imagine, that when driving your car it is only natural to talk about life, the daily experiences and what you experience during the ride. With the new Cardo C3 this is now possible during the motorcycle ride also.

For more than 25 years we have beein riding motorcycle, and have in reality not been missing the opportunity to talk during the ride. But now where we have done this during the test, we agreed that this is what we should have had years ago. It is pretty comfortable - and cozy - to talk together during
