Camping el Solsones - Alcañiz

El Solsonès is a Pre-Pyrenean region in the centre of Catalonia where the landscape is a contrasted mixture of forest, fields and wild spots typical of high mountains. There are fifteen municipalities but only six have a village shape, most of the land is populated with disseminated farmhouses, some of them are good examples of the Catalan rural architecture dating back to the 15th or the 18th c. For this reason El Solsonès has been called “the land of the one thousand country houses”. It offers the possibility of practising sports and discovers pre-historical, Romanesque and Gothic art in the most unexpected spots. It is part of a landscape where people have been able to find the right balance between them and their land. This area has hotels, farmhouses, rural apartments, camping sites, youth hostels, refuges and for the younger ones summer camp houses or farm-schools to spend some time away from the hustle and bustle of the cities.

Cervera oldtown and University

In Cervera, in a limited area and with not much time, the visitor can find historical and artistic evidence related not only to la Segarra’s capital, but also to some of the most significant events in the Catalan history.

Lleida is one of the oldest towns in Catalonia, with recorded settlements dating back to the Bronze Age period. Until the Roman conquest of the Iberian Peninsula, the area served as a settlement for an Iberian people, the Ilergetes. The town became a municipality, named Ilerda, under the reign of Augustus. It was reconquered in 1149, after being many centuries under the rule of the Moors, who had conquered the town in the 8th century. In 1297, the University of Lleida was founded, becoming the third oldest in the whole of Spain. During the following centuries, the town was damaged by several wars such as the Reapers' War in the 17th century and the Spanish Civil War in the 20th century. Since then, the city has been in a constant urban, commercial and demographic growth.

Mequinenza castle and embalse

Mequinenza is placed in the East Wing of the Zaragoza province, limitando with the provinces of Huesca and Lleida at the confluence of the rivers Ebro, Segre and Cinca.

Its unique and peculiar location has influenced both its history, as the language (Catalan) and the character of Search Now about 2,500 inhabitants.

It lies between two major summoned Masses of water, the Embalse de Mequinenza (well known as Mar de Aragón) and the Embalse de Ribarroja, which are a real paradise for lovers of fish (carp, black-bass, pike-perch, catfish ...) and of the nautical sports.

One of the main attractions that best define Caspe is known "Mar de Aragón" dam built on the river Ebro one kilometer from the town of Caspe and whose edge rise two developments: "The Dam" also known as "Fishing Village" and "Playas de Chacon".

A 121 m is the largest reservoir of Aragon, size: 110 km long, up to 60m deep and 500km of recortadísimas coastal beaches and cliffs, surprised in a parched and steppe landscape.

On shore there is great variety, ranging from olive and pine trees to the desert landscape. In some cases, distances from shore to shore exceed kilometer.

Motorland Aragon

History, culture and passion for motor sports. These ingredients merge in Alcañiz and turn this town in the Lower Aragón region into a must-see destination for all those who love the smell of fuel and feel passion for speed.

Alcañiz is a town and municipality in the province of Teruel, in the autonomous community of Aragon, Spain. The town is located on the banks of the river Guadalope. Alcañiz is the unofficial capital of the Lower Aragon historical region. Its distance from Teruel, the provincial capital, is 149 kilometres and from Zaragoza, the capital of Aragon, 105 kilometres.
