Rolling Thunder Run to the Wall
Rolling Thunder Run to the Wall is organizes annually by the Rolling Thunder organization.
The aim of Rolling Thunder is to seek for all the lost prisoners of war (POWs) and missing in action (MIA) service members of all U.S. wars. Now the organization includes 90 chapter in the United States and abroad.
The date for this year Rolling Thunder Run to the Wall is the the26 of May 2013. It is held on Sunday before Memorial Day that is held on the last Monday of May.
The motorcycle rally is attended by a great number of people, at least 350,000 motorcyclists come to the demonstration to show their honor and respect to the lost and died military men and women in the war time.
The Pentagon parking lot is the official starting venue of the Run to the Wall. All the riders wait silently for the start of the rally that take place at 12:00 noon. The rally is held in Washington D.C., accurately planned it leads motorcyclists through the Memorial Bridge to the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall.
On this day other memorials and significant places of Washington D.C. are visited by members of the run, supporters and officials. The attendees also listen to the speeches proclaimed by official representatives.
