The international motorcycle community www.tourstart.org is now on the street with a free iPhone app containing motorcycle tours, events and route planning.

The traditional GPS is replaced in increasing numbers by SmartPhones, why it is natural motorcyclists also wants to bring with them all about motorcycle events and routes on the SmartPhone - which is with the motorcyclist everywhere.

-Motorcyclists who use Tourstart, has asked for an iPhone app, and as our aim is to fulfill the needs from our users, it was natural for us to develop an iPhone app, says Jan Agnoletti Pedersen, founder of Tourstart.org.

Tourstart.orgs iPhone-app contains motorcycle events and the motorcycle tours made by the users which are their own preferred tours. Tourstart.org is a social media where everybody can create an free profile and share events and tours with motorcyclists from the entire world. Tourstart.org is free to use, as the web site in the future will be finances with relelvant adverts. 

-We have already experiences a huge number of downloads of the iPhone app from users around the world. Not only our main countries such as Germany, United Kingdom, Russia and USA, but also users form China and Canada have downloaded the app, says Jan Agnoletti Pedersen and adds:

-We are of course very happy that motorcyclists worldwide likes our iPhone app, and also that a Danish based motorcycle web site can get this large international success.

Start the motorycle tour on your SmartPhone

Tourstart.org website contains several thousand motorcycle events and motorcycle tours which can all be seen on the app. So when the motorcyclist is on holiday or our for a ride, it is always possible to find inspiration for a good route or event.

Tourstart exhibit on www.hamburger-motorrad-tage.de

Tourstart which is a free of charge web site for motorcyclists, are being heavily supported by the Danish motorcyclists. Tourstart is founded on the idea that motorcyclists from the entire world, free of charge can share motorcycle activities, motorcycle tours and plan tours as well as easy transfer to the GPS.

Since Tourstart exhibited on the motorcycle exhibition in February 2011 in Herning, Denmark, Tourstart has been growing very fast. The Danish motorcyclists have well received Tourstart, and already now there are users from several other countries, among the users many from Germany.

“Germany has a long tradition for motorcycle touring, and it is natural to go and visit them face to face” comment Jan A. Pedersen from Tourstart, and continues “and as we can see a need from the German motorcyclists that we need to be present, then we will of course accommodate that need”

It is not only a great advantage for the Danish motorcyclists that Tourstart will get more users from Germany. It is also an advantage for the German motorcyclists, as both parties make tours from their local areas as well as from their holiday destinations, and hereby we can all share and enjoy the interesting destinations, and hereby get more pleasant and interesting motorcycle tours.

Motorcycle GPS route planing training course

Do you have a GPS and do you want to become more comfortable using is? Do you want to plan and find some exciting motorcycle tours?

If yes – then www.tourstart.org will hold a free of charge GPS evening for you and your friends, going through the possibilities with planning a motorcycle rid and transfer it to your GPS. The best known GPS types are examined and on which it will be demonstrated how to plan a tour and transfer it to e.g. Garmin, TomTom or Navigon.

We will meet at your place and spend some hours together, where you partly will get an introduction to Tourstart and the functions partly work with your own GPS and computer, making you comfortable with your GPS.

You will achieve the following on a GPS evening:

• Become comfortable with your GPS
• Plan a tour and transfer it to your GPS
• Plan a tour and share it with other motorcyclists, so they can download the tour information and GPS data

Motorcycle tours and route plan

The main question for many motorcyclists is how to get the full potential out of their motor cycle. Many re-born bikers, as well as other bikers, constantly seek new ways to optimize the fun factor owing a motor cycle.

Exploring the world on a motorcycle

Motor cyclists throughout the world always have had the interest in driving and exploring both the local community as well as the rest of the world. The problem has always been that the sharing possibilities have been limited by the natural number of friends a biker have and the network they have created.
Many bikers like to travel long as well as short distances and in new areas, hence it was a natural consequence for Jan A. Pedersen to found www.tourstart.org. The web site was created with the goal of making it possible for motorcyclist throughout the globe to become united, build friendship and share adventures.

The main question regards a possible destination appears after kicking tires in the garage and being pleased thinking about owing the bike. Straight after this appears the desire to get as much fun and adventures out of riding the bike as possible.

Inspiration for motorcycle tours

Many bikers use their network to get inspiration, but seen in a larger perspective, reality is that for many bikers the network is limited in one way or the other. The social network is often in the bike club or having other biker friends, but still a few sources of inspiration. On a daily basis many motor cyclists read magazines to get inspiration for a new destination or they talk with friends.

Motorcycle r​oute planning

When it comes to holiday planning it gets even more troubled. To get the best and most valuable information of where and how to plan the tour, the search is often done in travel books or on the internet by browsing in general.

To solve these issues www.tourstart.org developed a social network for motor cyclists worldwide. The mindset of Tourstart is to assure the motor cyclists ride is a nice experience from starting at home until ending at home. Further many motorcyclists have a GPS device, and the Tourstart web site is both optimized for with regards for all levels of PC users, it is also having integrated comprehensive GPS functions.

“Tourstart wants to be a worldwide leading community aimed to share adventures” said Jan A. Pedersen, the founder of Tourstart, and continues “we made the web site with a lot of focus on integration with GPS and simplicity in the user interface”.

On the web site users can build their social network by creating their own bike club, plan and share activities as well as tours or simply get inspiration of riding a nice route. The aim of the web site is to provide functions and tools to enhance the social mindset and the utilization of the motorcycle.

New online motorcycle community with danish roots will unite motorcycle enthusiasts from the entire world. The new web site is www.tourstart.org.

While the motorcycle season is finally over in Denmark, the winter activity is starting on the new motorcycle community www.tourstart.org. Here motorcyclists from the entire world can meet and share experiences about great motorcycle rides, announce motorcycle events and share information about their motorcycle clubs - and last but not least - plan next year motorcycle tours.

Tourstart.org has danish roots and are founded by the motorcycle enthusiast Jan Agnoletti Pedersen.

- As a motorcycle enthusiast you are always looking for new ways to get more pleasure and fun out of our motorcycle. We want to ride our motorcycles on the small back roads, feel the wind and experience the nature. But, if you are not local, you will have difficulties finding the best motorcycle routes. Tourstart.org is founded on the purpose to unite motorcyclists worldwide and build friendship and share experiences, says Jan Agnoletti Pedersen.

Tourstart.org is free, as the web site over time shall be finanszed with relevant adverts.

Start the motorcycle journey online

Until now we have 3.000 motorcycle enthustiasts who created a profile on Tourstart.org, but Jan Agnoletti Pedersen expect, the activity on the web site will increase multiple times during the winter.

- We are still at the start-up phase and continuous we work hard to improve the user experience on the site. Therefor I do believe it is possible that during the winter we will be more than 20.000 users, says Jan Agnoletti Pedersen.
The users mainly comes from Denmark, Germany, Russia and England, but we see an increasingly amount of user from USA starting to use the site.

- We hope, even more nationalities will use the web site, so the motorcyclists already in the spring can get even more new exciting destinations and motorcycle routes to choose from, when the summerholiday is to be planned in Europe or across USA, says Jan Agnoletti Pedersen.

Tourstart.org is the only website in Europe, which gives motorcyclists the possibility to plan and share their motorcycle tours.

Motorcycle adventure - tour plan and sharing

The aim with Tourstart is a web site focusing on easy sharing of adventures on the internet for motorcyclists. Our aim is a user friendly web site where users can find inspiration for their tours, holidays, bike clubs, coffee meetings or any other motor cycle related activity.

The entire functions of the web site are fully integrated with GPS.

In order to test the tools and the stability of the web site, we now have launched the web site in a closed beta version. Hereby up to 50 users from each country have agreed to support us in testing the web site.

Within a few weeks we are ready to go fully live, where all users can start uploading content in a broader perspective. In the mean time we have a team of supporters who are dedicated to help translating the web site into more languages, why we on a continuous basis can release new languages, in order to reach our goal of being an international web site.
