The American Motorcyclist Association gives the A-class amateur racers a wonderful opportunity to become qualified professionals in motocross. In that respect AMA Pro-Am Motocross series are organised throughout the year where the future licensed motocrossers get an enormous experience riding on the best race tracks and competing with present pros.
AMA Pro-Am Motocross is a direct way to the professional racer career.
To become a licensed racer one must get a high rank in points, at least 75 advanced during the whole year of the championship, that will help win a money prize to achieve goals in the world of motocross.
A participator must earn points in a single class - 250 Pro-Am: 122cc-250cc; 450 Pro-Am: 122cc-Open; Open Pro-Sport Pro-Am: 122cc-Open but cannot combine them between the two classes. Points can be accumulated in any Pro-Am Motocross event in any region.
Though Pro-Am events offer Modified and Limited classes, points will be given only in the modified classes.
According to AMA Pro-Am Motocross calendar racing events start April 26-27, 2014 at Thunder Valley and November 30, 2014 at St. George MX closes the multi-numbered series.
