AirAsia Grand Prix of Japan
AirAsia Grand Prix of Japan is the next event in the series of the MotoPG Championship 2014, taking place on the 12 of October, at Motegi.
Motegi is situated in the picturesque bowl of the northern Kanto district. The construction of the circuit was completed in August of 1997 and performed according to the up-to-date engineering standards.
The initial aim of the construction of Motegi was to make a testing facility for Honda company
But only in 2000 Motegi acted as the host to Grand Prix for the first time.
The circuit or Twin Ring Motegi as it is fully called is considered to be the major attraction for fans of motorsport, it is also the venue for the Honda Collection Hall, a museum which houses an illustrious collection of motorcycle, car and racing machines from throughout the ages.
It is not only a museum, exhibition hall but also has a riding school, dirt school, go-karts, hotel, restaurant, shops and event halls and currently employs some 300 staff.
